MRS. QUINTERO: TEACHER OF THE MONTH
November 15, 2017
Mrs. Quintero has been working in Bangor Area high school for five years and her hard working personality has helped her earn teacher of the month.
“I feel appreciative that someone took their time to nominate me,” Quintero said
Quintero teaches Learning Support math, a class in which teachers help students apply math skills to real life situations such as what to do at various community stores and restaurants in the Slate Belt. She also co-teaches in the English and science departments.
Quintero’s co-teachers help motivate her because they rely on each other to make the school a better place.
In addition to her responsibilities as an educator, Quintero serves as the Junior Class Cabinet Advisor, in which club members carry out community fundraisers to help prepare for prom.
On top of seeing the student appreciation, Quintero’s favorite part about working at BAHS is the school spirit.
“The student body is extremely spirited and hardworking, as are my colleagues, which is what makes it a fun place to work,” Quintero said.
With spirit to match the student body, Mrs. Quintero makes a great teacher of the month.
