Students will be able to buy their own Bangor-grown poinsettias after the HS Chorus concert Tuesday evening, at the “Preview Sale” Wednesday, December 6 from 2:15 to 4:30 p.m. at the greenhouse, and the official “GRAND RE-OPENING Sale” on Thursday, December 7 from 2:15 to 6:00 p.m.  

“After spending nine wonderful years at the middle school, it was time for me to come back and resurrect our high school greenhouse! After spending most of July fixing, cleaning, and sweating– I believe our greenhouses are ready for visitors!  The horticulture classes did a great job producing our first beautiful crop of poinsettias,” Mrs. Finkbeiner said.  

Poinsettias are single stem, pinched to 4-5 flowerheads, in a 6″ pot.  They come with decorative foil and a protective sleeve for $8 each or 2 for $10 which makes them perfect for a Christmas gift. 

“I want to thank Ms. Gary and our entire team of administration for their support as well as the School Board.  And I couldn’t have done it without the help of our custodial staff headed up by Mr. Mousley, and the entire maintenance crew– especially Mr. LaBar and Mr. Nansteel,” Mrs. Finkbeiner said.
