2018-2019–GABE PILOZO: MOST LIKELY TO BE A RECORD PRODUCER

Marching Band drum major and music producing genius Gabe Pilozo plans to attend NCC with hopes of transferring to Temple University where he will study Music Technology. He wants to someday own his own recording studio.

What are your school activities?

“Concert Band, Symphonic Band, Jazz Band, Pep Band, and Marching Band.”

What positions did you have in these activities?

“I was VP for the Band during the 2017-18 season and drum major for the 2019 season

What do you hope people will remember about you after high school is over?

“I hope I can be remembered for my positivity and music influence.”

Who will you remember most in Bangor and why?

“There are too many great friends and teachers that I will remember after I graduate.”

What is your best high school memory and why?

“Probably messing around at football games with the marching band.”

Which band could play the soundtrack to your high school career and why?

“The Gorillaz because of their diversity of music which would represent my high school career.”

If there were a movie made about your high school days, which actor would play your part and why?

“Tom Holland because he’s the only teenage actor I know.”

When you arrive at school in the morning, where is the first place you want to go and why?

“To the choir room where all my friends are”

Who influenced you most during high school? Why and how? Give them a shoutout!

“Mr. Hahn and Mr. DiMineco have definitely influenced me the most during high school. They taught me all I know about music and helped me strive to become a better musician.”

Where do you hope to end up 10 years from now and why?

“I hope to own my own recording studio somewhere in the world.”

Which event(s) will you miss the most and why?

“I really miss Marching Band and Jazz Band for sure.”

What is your favorite quote to live by and why is it important to you?

“Ephesians 5:19 it reads, ‘singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs among yourselves, and making music to the Lord in your hearts.’”

What program/software do you use to create and edit music?

“I currently use Logic Pro X”

Do you have a platform where you upload your music?

“I upload all my music to SoundCloud or I just keep them for myself in my iTunes. Hopefully when I finish some more serious projects I can get them on Spotify or Apple Music.”

Do you make ‘type beats’ inspired by other artists and songs?

“I try to make my own sounds so I don’t really try to base my beats to sound like anyone else but I was influenced by artists like Atlas, Joji, Yung Bae, and Whethan to want to make my own music.”
