They were all great experiences.

What does being a Slater mean to you?

I guess it’s a community thing. There’s some history there. If you’re from the Slate Belt, you’re a Slater.

Who will you remember most in Bangor and why?

Only time will tell.

It’s hard to pick one.

Which events will you miss most and why?

The clubs.

What will you miss most about being a Slater?

I will always be a Slater.

Where did you get the idea to create Nate’s Lab?

I always liked paints. When I was about four or five, I decorated shirts with handprints. I was hooked from that moment.

How did you decide the name for this company?

Well, I’ve always been interested in science. I was spelling words with the periodic table and I figured out you can spell Na Te S La B.

When did you start this business?

Officially, I started the trademarks in 2012, but I was making shirts before that.

When was the first time you made t-shirts for a group of people? What occasion was it for?

I’m pretty sure it was for a science fair. I made shirts for people before that, but that was the first group of people who wore them at the same time.

What are some of the obstacles your business has had to overcome over the years?

Computer problems, equipment failures, meeting deadlines

What is the best part about Nate’s Lab?

I like helping a good cause get the word out.

Does your company have a slogan or quote to live by?

Nate’s Lab- All our experiments are 100% safe, but just in case, lock the door when you leave.

What has been the most recent occasion that Nate’s Lab made t-shirts for?

The last ones I did for school were the Bowling Club shirts.

Does Nate’s Lab have any exciting plans for the future?

Nate’s Lab will be getting into vinyl graphics soon.

Do you plan to continue the business after high school?

Definitely, I enjoy it.

Where do you hope your company will be in 10 years?

I hope to get better at it every year. So, 10 times better I guess.

Why did you choose to attend East Stroudsburg University?

It’s close to home and they have a new science building.

Why did you choose to major in biotechnology?

I like science and I like tech. I want to help people by making prosthetics.

What are you looking forward to most at college?

I’m going to take one day at a time.

Where do you hope to see yourself in 10 years?

I hope to be developing new prosthetic devices for people who need them. I’ll be happy with a job in my field of study.
