SLATER SPOTLIGHT: NICHOLAS MCCOY

Throughout high school, Nicholas McCoy involved himself in soccer, track and field, tennis, and Ski Club. After high school, McCoy plants to attend Northampton Community College for two years, then transfer to West Chester to study engineering.
Who will you remember most in Bangor and why?
I will remember Mr. Panczer because he’s the best teacher in the school.
What is your best high school memory and why?
Probable the soccer trip to Lake Placid because we got to stay at an Olympic Resort.
What is your worst high school memory and why?
My worst high school memory is losing in the first round of districts for soccer 2 years in a row since we never win anything in soccer.
Which band could play the soundtrack to your high school career and why?
Pop Smoke
If there were a movie made about your high school days, which actor would play your part and why?
The Rock because he looks like me.
Who influenced you most during high school and why?
My closest friends since we all did the same stuff together.
Describe what you hope your life will be like in ten years?
I hope to make good money and be happy.
Which event, events will you miss the most at Bangor and why?
I’m going to miss the dodgeball and floor hockey tournament because Team Jake was goated.
What is your favorite quote to live by and why?

How would you describe your first year playing tennis? What was a standout moment? What lessons did you learn about life from this experience?
I would describe it as easy. I think a standout moment was winning a gold medal with Kaden Dowd. Tennis showed me that me and Kaden are good at every sport.
What do you love about driving your van to school?
I like that it’s the biggest car in the school.
How will your soccer career continue? What experiences with Bangor do you think will help you? I’ll continue to play through college. The work ethic I learned through Bangor will help me.
If you and your family had a TV show, what would it be named?
Keeping up with the 10 McCoy’s.
