Funny, energetic, and loyal senior MJ Siu will attend Lock Haven University to pursue his career in sports marketing! He has been involved with his participation in football, baseball, and even clubs outside of sports!
What are your favorite classes? What was it about these classes that thrilled you?
All classes with Mr. Crisp, which was graphic design. I liked editing all the pictures and videos; it was like art but through software, which was pretty cool. Everything that was done was based on skill and graded through that instead of meeting certain standards.
What are some positive adjectives that your friends would use to describe you?
My friends would describe me as funny because I have a good sense of humor, and I am also loyal to my best friends.
What are your plans after high school (college, military, career path, etc.)? What do you hope to study? What career(s) appeal to you? Why?
I am going to Lock Haven with my friend Parker Sandt to study sports management! I hope to manage a stadium after I earn my degree because I think it would be fun, and I love sports.
Describe, in detail, your ideal life 10 years from now.
In 10 years, I see myself having a wife and 2 kids living anywhere but Bangor in a house by the beach. I hope to have the job I previously mentioned and a stable income so I can buy a boat! I also hope to have a nice car and 2 large tortoises.
What is your best high school memory and why?
My best high school memory was winning the Colonial League Championship in baseball my junior year. It was a great memory because it is now in school history, and it was so exciting. My team was so hardworking, so winning was an amazing reward for everyone’s dedication.
If there were a movie made about your high school days, what would be the title and which actor would play your part? Why?
The title of a movie about my high school career would be called “Project X” because I had a great time and will never forget it! The actor that would play me is Xolo Mariduena because he is young and kind of resembles me.
Which event/events will you miss the most and why?
I will miss all the events because I love this school so much. Every moment I spent here was filled with so much joy and laughter!
Which artist could play the soundtrack to your high school career and why?
I would love Justin Bieber to play the soundtrack of my high school career because I have always had “Bieber fever.” His song “Beauty and a Beat” is my favorite song because it is catchy, and Queen Nicki Minaj is featured so it’s even better.
What is your favorite quote to live by and why?
“You can’t control the uncontrollable.” I live by this quote because some things you can’t control, so it’s important not to worry too much about things you have no power over.
Who will you remember most in Bangor and why?
I will remember my friend group: Parker Sandt, Noah Hillis, Greg Campbell, Blake Kornafel, Dylan K. We have been friends for so long that we have made so many memories. One of my favorite memories with them is playing sports because winning together is the best feeling.
Who is your biggest mentor? Why?
Kyle Sandt is my biggest mentor because he has taught me many important things in life.
What activities (sports, clubs, jobs) have you done throughout your high school career?
Football, Baseball, SODA club, and GSA.
Which activities is your favorite and why? What was/is your position in the activity? Why did this activity matter to you so much? List any accomplishments. (Feel free to answer with more than one activity; please specify)
My favorite activity is probably baseball. I am a RF/CF and have played varsity 3 years and am now a captain my senior year. I like this sport because I have played it my whole life and met a lot of new people playing it and have always enjoyed playing.
