Radiating positivity and determination, senior Crystal Renaldi excels in sports, clubs, and academics.

Throughout Renaldi’s career, she played field hockey for a total of six years and concluded her senior season with a record of 16-4.

“I loved how happy the people around me were when the team had a great game and how supportive everyone was when we had an off game,” Renaldi said. “I will miss the amazing friendships I’ve made through this sport and the bond I had with so many of my teammates.”

Renaldi participates in track and field during the spring and runs the 100-meter hurdles during the meets.

“My favorite part of track was the relaxed and laid-back atmosphere, but at the same time all of the coaches always pushed you to do your best,” Renaldi said.

When Renaldi isn’t leading through sports, she’s helping change the school as vice president of Senior Class Cabinet, President of French Honor Society, Choir Historian, and a member of Student Government Association.

“I don’t like having down time, and I’ve always had such a busy life so I like to stay involved and do what I can for the school,” Renaldi said.

Outside of school, Renaldi pursues her passion for dance at Dance Design Studio.

“I’ve been dancing since I was two years old so it’s become so natural, and it’s a stress reliever for me personally,” Renaldi said.

Renaldi performs ballet, jazz, lyrical, tap, hip hop, and contemporary dances at her studio and always busts a move during school dances.

“Crystal’s the one that gets the dance grooving,” senior Alyson Kiss said. “She’s almost as good as me.”

Renaldi’s talents in performing opened the door to the school’s musical.

“Since I’ve been dancing for so many years, I developed a love for performing, which inspired me to audition for the musicals,” Renaldi said. “I loved being a ‘Nicest Kid in Town’ for Hairspray because it was a lot of dancing and the show was so much fun.”

When Renaldi isn’t focusing on sports or the arts, she’s excelling in academics. With a class ranking of 11/226 Renaldi has plenty of options ahead of her.

“I plan on majoring in communications and I applied to East Stroudsburg University, Kutztown, Wilkes, King’s, Albright, and West Chester,” Renaldi said. “They’re all close to home and I’ve heard good things about them all.”

Renaldi will continue to leave her mark on Bangor High as she finishes up her senior year and begins the next chapter of her life.
