BHS students should expect a fun, light-hearted atmosphere from this year’s annual Rock Band tournament. Mr. Madden is looking for bands to fill out the playbill for Friday, December 22 in the Craig Paine Theater.

Run and organized by the yearbook committee, all funds from Rock Band will contribute to lowering the price of the yearbook.

“We do extra design work for the cover of the yearbook to really make it personalized which makes it more expensive,” Mr. Madden said. “Rock Band helps lower the costs from this and it is just something fun students enjoy before break.”

Bands will be judged on crowd enthusiasm, outfits, overall performance/stage presence, and creativity of band name (school appropriate of course).

Prizes include $5 gift cards to Dunkin Donuts for each member of the winning band.

During the competition, an Ugly Sweater contest will be held to go along with Friday’s Spirt Week theme.

Students interested in forming a band can find sign up sheets in Mr. Madden’s room (123) and must have them returned by Monday, December 18.

Students wishing to attend can purchase tickets during lunches for $2 a piece.
