Allyson Heard, Editor-in-Chief

Meghan Barone- Centenary College, basketball

Major: Sports marketing

“Centenary University was just what I was looking for. I liked the size of the campus, size of the classes, how friendly everyone was, and when I went to visit with the basketball coach there, she made me feel like I was already a part of the team,” Barone said.

Jake Caserta- Stevenson University, football

Major: Nursing

“Stevenson has a great campus, student life, dorms, and a nursing program. It just has the college feels I am looking for. Everyone is so nice and in a great location outside of Baltimore,” Caserta said.

Cassaro- Northampton Community College, soccer

Major: Undecided

“I picked Northampton because it’s close to home and I didn’t want to go far,” Cassaro said.

Lauren Haffling- Moravian College, field hockey

Major: Going for two years and then transferring to Pratt

“My sister already goes to Moravian and my dad works there. I also feel at home when I’m on campus,” Haffling said.

Eddie Hay- Worcester Polytechnic Institute, wrestling

Major: Biomedical engineering

“I picked the school for a lot of reasons. I had a really strong relationship with the wrestling coach, the school only does science and math-based majors which I really like and knew I wanted to be my focus–, and I also targeted schools in the New England area and WPI is only a few minutes from Boston,” Hay said.

Allyson Heard- Susquehanna University, field hockey

Major: Business marketing

“I’m going to Susquehanna because it has a beautiful campus, they have an accredited business program, and it’s close enough to home that I can come home if I need but far enough that my parents can’t visit me every day,” Heard said.

Jackie Hess- Penn State Hazleton, softball

Major: Food science

“I’ve always wanted to go to Penn State because I love everything about the college and they have the best programs for my major/minor,” Hess said.

Hunter Kish- Northampton Community College, cross country, basketball

Major: Sport management

“Northampton is a cheap, smart start. Plus, I’m hoping to play basketball and run cross country,” Kish said.

Brandon Nemeth- Moravian College, football

Major: Accounting

“When I went to Moravian, it just felt like home. They have a good business department and I love how it is only about 30 minutes away too. Everyone was super friendly there and I can’t wait to play football there,” Nemeth said.

Martina Sell- Lehigh University, track, cross country

Major: Undecided but leaning towards business

“I picked Lehigh for the rigorous academics and the academic reputation, the amount of time and effort the coaches put into the athletes, and the overall homey feel of the campus,” Sell said.

Colby Toth- Kings College, baseball

Major: Athletic training

“I picked Kings College because they had my major, I like the campus, and it gave me an opportunity to play baseball in college,” Toth said.
