The very involved and organized Kristen Stopfer partakes in marching band, SGA, Class Cabinet, Chamber Choir (vice president), Women’s Chorale, dance classes, and musical (dance captain). She will be heading to the University of Pittsburgh to major in biology this upcoming fall to find her dream job in science.

Which friend or friends will you miss most from Bangor and why?

Hannah Almanzar, she’s been one of my closest friends for years and it’s going to be so sad when we don’t live 10 minutes away from each other anymore. We’re going to be like 7+ hours apart. That is so sad.

Which teacher influenced you most or who will you remember most from Bangor and why?

I’m really going to miss Mrs. Brown; she was always super encouraging and supportive as a teacher and mentor!

What is your best high school memory and why?

Junior year prom! I wore my favorite dress of all time and I got to go with my best friend and it was just a genuinely nice time.

What is your worst high school memory and why?

I felt really sick on the first day of school but the nurse couldn’t give me anything because it was the first day and I didn’t have my paperwork in. I ended up going home. Not the best day.

Which band could play the soundtrack to your high school career and why?

Modern Baseball because their songs are #relatable and they are also my favorite band.

If there were a movie made about your high school days, which actor would play your part and why?

Cristin Milioti! She was in “How I Met Your Mother” which is one of my favorite shows, she’s very musical, and I mean c’mon, we have the same name.

When you arrive at school in the morning, where is the first place you want to go and why?

The choir room! That place is my home!

Where do you predict you’ll end up ten years from now and why?

In ten years, I might be working in some kind of science-related career and hopefully I’ll be living in New York! That’s where I’d like to be in life.

Which event, events will you miss the most and why?

I’m going to miss the bonfire, decorating the school for winter, and all of the concerts with the choir. I always felt very at home with the school and music department in those events and they were lots of fun to be a part of.

What is your favorite quote to live by and why?

“There’s nowhere to go but everywhere” -Jack Kerouac

This quote reminds me that there’s always more to do and discover in life, which I really like to keep in mind.

What do you love most about dance?

I love how free it is; there is seriously so much you can do with movement and I love that. I just love to dance.

What is you favorite musical and why?

“Finding Neverland,” The music is incredible and the story is so beautiful and heartbreaking and just all around amazing.

What is your favorite animal and why?

I love foxes, they are ADORABLE and I always get so excited when I see one outside.
