After a successful academic career at Bangor High School, Eagle Scout and football player Ean Sheats will take his outstanding grades to Ohio State University where he will major in health and rehab sciences. After that he hopes to achieve doctorate degree in physical therapy and he hopes to one day become a physical therapist.

Who will you remember most at Bangor and why?

My friends, for sure. They have been here with me throughout high school, hopefully we will keep in touch after we graduate.

What is your best high school memory and why?

Probably being part of the football team that beat Pen Argyl in my sophomore year. The joy that everyone felt, both the players and the fans, was amazing.

If there was a movie made about your high school days, which actor would play your part?

I’m tempted to say Morgan Freeman just because of his voice, but I’d have to pick Stephen Amell. He’s one of my favorite actors, he seems to be a good person, and he enjoys helping other however he can.

Who influenced you most during high school and why?

Definitely Mr. Hachtman. Taking his Honors Biology course is what caused me to enjoy science more, and whether he knows it or not, he helped me tremendously of in the decision of my future career.

Which event(s) will you miss the most and why?

The Bangor, Pen Argyl football games, for sure. It’s one of those rivalries where emotions are high, everyone gives it all they have, and everyone supports each other regardless of the outcome.

What is your favorite quote to live by and why?

“The only place success comes before work is in the dictionary”- Vince Lombardi. This quote can apply to nearly everything in life, and it’s absolutely true. In order to have success, or be great in anything, you have to work for it.

What do you enjoy most about being and Eagle Scout and why?

I am very glad to say that I accomplished something that only 2% of all Boy Scouts accomplish, but I really enjoyed the journey. It has taught me so many skills, qualities, and life lessons.

What will you miss the most from playing football and why?

I’ll probably miss being under the Friday night lights the most. I may not have been a star player, but I love the feeling of being out there and being part of the team.

What does it mean to be a Bangor Slater?

Being a Slater means having pride. It means coming out and supporting all of the clubs and sports in the school, and being proud to go to Bangor.

What was your biggest accomplishment during high school and why?

Probably making it into the National Honors Society. It a fantastic organization that anyone should feel proud to be a part of.

What club/activity/sport means the most to you to have been a part of?

I’m not sure I can just pick one. All of them have been great, and I have loved being able to be a member of so many awesome things over the past 4 years.

What emoji would best describe you and why?

I think it would be the emoji that’s laughing with tears coming out of its eyes. It’s the one I use the most when I text, and I’m always joking around and trying to have fun.

What is your worst high school memory and why?

I don’t think I’ve had a terrible memory of high school. If anything, I’d have to say writing countless pages worth of one-pagers for Mr. Moran’s class. They took forever to finish!

Where do you predict you will end up ten years from now and why?

Hopefully by then I’ll have a doctorate in in physical therapy. I enjoy helping others, and I figured that a good way to combine that with my love of both science and working out was to become a physical therapist.

What will you be studying in college and will you be joining any clubs?

I plan on getting a degree in health and rehabilitation sciences, and then getting a doctorate in physical therapy. As for clubs, I’d definitely like to be active and involve in different things.
