SLIDESHOW: FOOTBALL (2022-2023)

Under the leadership of Coach Reduzzi, the Slaters had a standout year with a record of 7-4 that put the them into the district playoffs. Although the Slaters did not defeat Allentown Central Catholic in districts, they still showed great sportsmanship and fought hard all season long. The standout players of the season were Eric Striba who received the MVP award and Jaydon Vimenay who received the lineman of the game award in the rivalry game against Pen Argyl.

STAMPEDE The Bangor Slaters charge the field ready to take on Jim Thorpe (Senior Night, Neon Night, Youth Night). The Slaters brought home a much deserved 29-7 victory.
TUCK AND RUN! Senior (QB/SS) Eric Striba executes a jump cut outside for a long quarterback draw. Striba earned MVP honors at the Pen Argyl rivalry game.
RUNNING THROUGH THE KNIGHTS! Junior Riley Stapp (LB/FB) carries the pigskin for a Slater touchdown while center Ben Engle paves a clear path to the endzone. The Slaters defeated The Green Knights 35-6 in the 103rd rivalry game.
TAKING DOWN THE KNIGHT! Senior Ashton Kluska (LB/RB) dives to crush Pen Argyl’s wide receiver. Kluska won Bangor Slaters Football Scholar Athlete Award for the 2023 Season
IN THE TRENCHES! Bangor Slaters defensive line faces the Jim Thorpe Olympians offensive line as they battle for control of the trenches.
FAMILY!!! Senior center Ben Engle (59) leads the offense onto the field to take on Jim Thorpe. It was an emotional night for parents and the community as they said good-bye to 17 seniors, each of whom were ready to move on to the next step in their lives.
RIVALRY DAY!!! Bangor defeats Pen Argyl 35-6 on a beautiful day. The atmosphere on the hill was something to remember as the seniors played their final game against the Knights.
TOUCHDOWN!! Junior Riley Stapp proudly gets into the end zone as the Pen Argyl Knights struggle to stop the Slaters in the 103rd meeting. The Knights failed to secure revenge on the Slaters after last year’s stunning 53-0 loss.
TRIPPLE THREAT!! Senior captains Dylan Miller (22), Eric Striba (10), and Jose Fuentes (71) walk out for the coin toss with Bangor alumni and varsity captain Mr. Miller for the 103rd rivalry game against the Knights. Striba had another great season while Miller and Fuentes unfortunately both suffered season-ending injuries throughout the season; Thankfully, because of Coach Reduzzi, they suited up one last time to represent their team and community.
BATTLE READY! Slaters rush the field to take on the Wilson Warriors. This team, led by Paul Reduzzi and a horde of seniors, finished the season 7-4. The Slaters accumulated 2,200 rushing yards and 1,000-passing yards on the season; Senior Eric Striba wracked up 1,000 rushing and passing with the help of his outstanding O-line.
