Lowkey, relaxed, chill senior Cody Quagliato will attend Ramapo College of New Jersey to play baseball and will study Communication Arts. He has been an outgoing student here at Bangor with participation in basketball and baseball.
What are your favorite classes? What was it about these classes that thrilled you?
My favorite classes would have to be Mr. Miller and Mr. Crisp’s classes because they always make it fun because their personalities always made the class enjoyable and I couldn’t have asked for better teachers.
What are your plans after high school (college, military, career path, etc.)? What do you hope to study? What career(s) appeal to you. Why?
After high school I’ll be attending Ramapo College of New Jersey to play 4 more years of baseball and study communication arts. After college I would like to move down south to Charlotte, NC area to hopefully get into the graphic design business or vinyl wrapping business.
What is your best high school memory and why?
My favorite high school memory would have to be winning the Colonial League Championship for baseball junior year because it was such a great moment to achieve something that we all worked so hard to get.
If there were a movie made about your high school days, what would be the title and which actor would play your part? Why?
A movie about my high school career would be called “My Life” because it would be about my 4 years at Bangor and Travis Kelce would be the actor because he’s big and athletic.
Which event/events will you miss the most and why?
I’ll probably miss the Myrtle Beach trip this year with the baseball team because it was a good way to start the season and have good bonding time with the team.
Which artist could play the soundtrack to your high school career and why?
I think Bob Marley could play the soundtrack to my high school career because his music is good and always kept people in good spirits, along with helping me stay positive when I hit a bump in the road back in September.
What is your favorite quote to live by and why?
My favorite quote would have to be “Let him cook” – Mr. Miller. I chose this because I really look up to Mr. Miller and his classes are always entertaining and the quote makes the class want to do work.
Who will you remember most in Bangor and why?
I think I’ll remember Mr. Miller the most because he’s such a good teacher along with his personality, which is great, and I don’t think I’d find anyone else like him anywhere else.
Who is your biggest mentor (shoutout a teacher/coach)? Why?
Coach Martino is my biggest mentor because he’s been probably the best coach I’ve been coached by, and I’ll always look up to him. I started working with him freshman year with my old travel ball team and everything he’s taught me since then has stuck and I continue to use the skills I learned from him. Without him, I’m not sure if I would even be playing college baseball the next 4 years because he’s motivated me to push myself to be better and be the best person/player I can be.
What activities (sports, clubs, jobs) have you done throughout your high school career?
Throughout high school I’ve been on the basketball team and baseball team. I’m not sure how my high school career would’ve gone without these sports. They’ve both meant a lot to me. Especially baseball.
Which of these activities is your favorite and why? What was/is your position in the activity? Why did this activity matter to you so much? List any accomplishments. (Feel free to answer with more than one activity; please specify)
My favorite would have to be baseball because it’s the game I’ve played since I was a little kid and it’s all I’ve wanted to do in high school/college for sports. I’m a pitcher and first baseman. I chose to be a pitcher because I love the pressure and adrenaline with the game being in your hands from the first pitch to my last. My biggest accomplishment would have to be being a part of the Colonial League Championship winning baseball team junior year and it was the one of the best moments of my life.
