Hardworking, caring, and friendly senior Ana Jones will attend Alvernia University to play field hockey and pursue a career in nursing. She has been involved at Bangor with participation in field hockey, Leo Club, track and field, powderpuff, and Treble Choir.
What are your favorite classes? What was it about these classes that thrilled you?
My favorite class is Human Anatomy with Mr. Hobbs. I liked this class because I am going into nursing, and it ties in with topics that I will have to know in the future. I found learning about the human body and how it functions fascinating.
What are some positive adjectives that your friends would use to describe you?
Some positive adjectives that my friends would use to describe me are hardworking, caring, and friendly. I am someone they can always come to if they need advice, and I feel that I am very easy to talk to.
What are your plans after high school (college, military, career path, etc.)? What do you hope to study? What career(s) appeal to you? Why?
I plan to attend Alvernia University and continue my field hockey and track career while majoring in nursing. I plan to use my nursing major to become a nurse anesthetist when I finish schooling.
Describe, in detail, your ideal life 10 years from now.
In 10 years, I would like to be living in Georgia with a rich husband and a couple of kids. I would like to own 4 Chinese Crested dogs and one Dachshund.
What is your best high school memory and why?
My best high school memory was participating in the powderpuff games because it really brought me and my friends together while doing something that is totally different than what we are used to. We went undefeated for the three years that we got to play!
If there were a movie made about your high school days, what would be the title and which actor would play your part? Why?
The movie that would be made about my high school days would be “Tammy,” and I would want Melissa McCarthy to play my role. This movie is about a hilarious middle-aged woman who is literally a hot mess. I think this perfectly describes me.
Which event/events will you miss the most and why?
I will miss the football games because it was a good time with my friends, and we got to dress up with the themes. It was overall super fun and a great environment to be in.
Which artist could play the soundtrack to your high school career and why?
Taylor Swift because I feel like she has a song or an album about literally anything that you can think of and any scenario that you are in.
What is your favorite quote to live by and why?
My favorite quote to live by is “It is what it is” because simply it is what it is. Being a senior in high school taught me a lot of things, especially to not care about certain things. I kind of just like to go with the flow of things.
Who will you remember most in Bangor and why?
I will remember Najae Vilmenay the most because she has been there for me through thick and thin. She is a great person to be around, as she never fails to make me laugh. I feel like she is the person that when someone asks me who do I remember most in the future, it will for sure be her.
Who is your biggest mentor? Why?
My biggest mentor is my field hockey coach, Coach Ott. She never put any doubts on me, and she pushed me to be the best that I could be. She was an overall great field hockey coach who did the best for her team. She is a coach that you can go up to and talk about literally anything.

I am involved in field hockey, track, powderpuff, Leo Club, and Treble Choir.

My favorite activity is field hockey, and I am the center mid. Field hockey brought me some of my best friends, taught me discipline, and shaped me for the next 4 years. Some accomplishments that I have are winning Colonial League Defensive MVP 2021, Colonial League Offensive MVP 2022, 2023 overall MVP, and I was chosen as captain my senior year.
