CHANNEL 21 BRIGHTENING MORNING

Allyson Heard, Editor

Familiar faces, catchy theme songs, and humorous newscasters, the Channel 21 news team brings joy to students and staff first thing every morning.

“My favorite part of being on the news is trying to be positive and exciting first thing in the morning. To wake everyone up and give them a great start to their day,” senior Crystal Renaldi said.

The news can be used as a way for teachers or clubs to send out announcements, creating an effective form of communication throughout the school.

“I just feel it’s a better way to communicate important announcements to my peers leaving a better effect than an adult just reading from a list. It also helps notify weather conditions for after school events; thanks Doppler Doug,” junior Aryana Smith said.

Behind the scenes is also an important factor while creating the daily news. Students must collaborate to create a cohesive broadcast that is informative yet entertaining.

“Without all the technology behind the scenes, the news would be less interesting and we wouldn’t be able to do cool bits like Doppler Doug,” senior Olivia Brands said.

With hours of hard work in preparation for each morning’s broadcast, the students and staff of Bangor High love and appreciate the zaniness of the morning news crew.
