What activity has meant the most to you and why?
Soccer has meant the most to me. It has been a part of my life for the past 13 years. Over that time, my love for the sport has grown, and it has taught me so much about dedication, teamwork, and perseverance. Soccer has given me some of my favorite memories, but it also has given me some bad memories too. There were definitely ups and downs during this sport like injuries, losses, fights, conditioning, wins, fun bus rides, and team bonds. It has always been something I could turn to, and everything just felt normal on the field.
Describe a specific moment or memory from that activity.
A specific moment from soccer that is special to me is senior year when we played Moravian Academy. The game was so intense. I think at one point they were up 4-2, then we scored so it was 4-3. Their girl got a yellow card in the last two minutes. We were trying our hardest to fight back and scored to tie it up with like 1.2 seconds left, then we went into double overtime and won 5-4. That is a special moment to me because we haven’t beat them since 2015.
What is one challenge you faced and how did you handle it?
One challenge I faced was definitely fighting on the field and getting told what I had to do. I tried to fix it by myself, but that didn’t work, so then I went to the coaches and they helped fix it.
What is your best high school memory and why?
My best high school memories were the football games because they brought everyone together. There was something special about being there on a Friday night, surrounded by friends, cheering for our team, and feeling the excitement in the air.
If a movie were made about your life, what would it be called and who would play you? Why?
If I made a movie about my life, I think it would be called Hold the Line. The actress that would play me would be Alex Morgan because she is someone I really look up to for her determination and kindness. She shows what it means to work hard, stay focused, and never give up.
Who is someone who had a big impact on you and why?
I would say that my mother had the biggest impact on me. She is my biggest support system and shaped me into the person I am today. She has always been there for me, encouraging me and helping me through both good and difficult times.
Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
In 10 years, I see myself working at either a zoo or wildlife conservation, doing something I’m passionate about and making a difference in the lives of animals.
