Involved, kind, and diligent, Bangor Area High School senior Lilly Iannia has spent her high school years building confidence, leadership, and communication skills through academics, athletics, and extracurricular involvement. From tennis courts to debate rounds, Iannia has found her voice and is preparing for a future in law.
What activities (sports, clubs, jobs) have you been involved in during high school?
Varsity tennis, Speech and Debate, Mock Trial, and Student Government.
What are your plans after high school (college, career, military, etc.)?
Penn State University Park.
What activity has meant the most to you and why?
Speech and Debate, because it is where I learned to speak my mind and not be scared.
Describe a specific moment or memory from that activity.
Chatting with the others in it and having holiday parties.
What is one challenge you faced and how did you handle it?
I had to speak in front of the school, and I handled it by getting involved.
What is your best high school memory and why?
Senior night with my tennis team.
If a movie were made about your life, what would it be called and who would play you? Why?
It would be called Lilly, because that’s simple, and Olivia Rodrigo would play me because she would play the role well.
Who is someone who had a big impact on you and why?
My mom, because she taught me most things I know.
Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
At a law firm.
