After four pleasant years at Bangor High School, senior Jordan Ackerman will attend the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York to cook up some trouble. She will study culinary food science, and maybe one day, if her dreams come true, cook for Gordon Ramsay.

What career do you hope to attain?

I want to own a restaurant with a test kitchen.

What do you hope people will remember about you after high school is over?

That I worked hard in everything I do.

Who will you remember most in Bangor and why?

Ms. Bruch. She’s the most amazing staff member and always helps everyone do everything they need.

What is your best high school memory and why?

Going to Greece with Senorita Bass.

What is your worst high school memory and why?

Almost failing senior year because of the lack of classes during Keystones.

When you arrive at school in the morning, where is the first place you want to go and why?

The library because Ms. Bruch helps me get all my work I need to be done.

Who influenced you most during high school? Why and how? Give them a shoutout!

My culinary teacher at CIT, Mr. Killeen. he makes learning easy and fun.

Which event, events will you miss the most and why?

Football games because everyone gets together.

Whats your favorite food/dessert?

Apple pie.

What made you want to start cooking?

It was something I needed to work for. Something I needed to try at and forced me to have ambition.

Who is your favorite chef? Why?

Gordon Ramsay. Because it’s Gordon Ramsay!

What’s your favorite dish to make?

Parmesan crusted chicken and Parmesan risotto.

What would you cook for Gordon Ramsay?

Beef Wellington so that he can give me tips on his personal favorite.
