MARCHING BAND (2021)

Emma Naysmith, Editor in Chief

The Slater marching band under the direction of first year band director Kevin Horne and drum majors Andrea Morokutti and Evan Finkbeiner, continued to proudly represent Slater Nation. Presenting yet another amazing field show, the Slater marching band performed with the ridiculously appropriate theme of Come Together from beloved band The Beatles

MARCHING TO THE BEAT! Slater marching band gracefully makes its way onto the field to present its beloved field show. The marching band never fails to express their incredible talents and passions under the glowing lights each Friday night.
AND CLOSE! Senior drum major Andrea Morokutti leads her fellow marching band members in the closing of yet another amazing performance. After a highly successful musical career at BHS, Morokutti will further her passion for music and the arts with a double major of piano performance and music education at Ithaca College next fall!
SIDE BY SIDE! Trumpeters junior CJ Fassl and senior Shannon Louszko nail a difficult sequence during their fantastic field show performance. With so much going to during a performance, it is critical that marching band members not only focus on playing their instrument but also keeping in time with each other and the intricate step movement being presented.
SLATER PRIDE! Junior trombonist Clara Oxford beautifully projects her love for her alma mater for all to hear. Oxford is a natural on the trombone and it’s said her love for music and performing can be felt all throughout the football stadium!
GRAB AND GO! Senior color guard flag master Avalon Sager perfectly executed her flag routine and looks to make a dramatic finish. Sager will turn in her Slater flag and transform into a Falcon next fall as she is committed to Cedar Crest College with a major of surgical nursing.
